You can take a GR train from Frankfurt to Heidelberg and Ladenburg, which would cost about $100.00 for the round trip. It takes about 1 hours and 40 minutes, one way.

Farthest away from the hotel is village of Ladenburg, it is about 15 minutes drive via Hwy. 

Ladenburg preserved many historical buildings, all the way from 1400th & up. You can see many of the original built in dates embedded on the building front. 

The Carl Benz House in downtown Ladenburg is his mini-museum and Mercedes-Benz Cars museum are both about 15 minutes drive from Heidelberg. They still preserved a part of Roman Empire original ruins, with place of gladiator fights.
