Big Sur River Gorge is about 6 minutes drive and abut 1 hour and 4 minutes hike.

Pfeiffer Beach and Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park are within 15 minutes drive from the Lodge. Pfeiffer Falls are about 4 minutes drive and about 25-30 minutes hike.

McWay Falls are about 25 minutes drive. Partington Cove is within 20 minutes drive and about 10-15 minutes hike.

Point Lobos State Marine Reserve is 45 minutes drive from the Lodge, near Carmel- by- the Sea. Carmel-by -the Sea is 55 minutes drive from the lodge.

Monterey Zoo and Monterey Bay Aquarium are about 1 hour 15 minutes drive. Seymour Marine Discovery Center is 2 hour 20 minutes drive from the Lodge.

Taste it.

Because this is a coastal resorts area, it is very sparsely populated, with little residential or commercial areas. Not too many restaurants are here, mostly National Forest and many Waterfalls. I will list some places worth visiting along HWY 1 scenic drive. Lodge has one on site restaurant

Homestead. Nepenthe Restaurant and The Sur House are both within 8 minutes drive from the Lodge. Big Sur Smokehouse is 6 minutes drive away. Sierra Mar inside the Post Ranch Inn is about 10 minutes drive. Big Sur Bakery is within 5 minutes drive. Fernwood Tavern is only 3 minutes drive or 20 minutes hike from the lodge.
