This is the closest International airport to town. Additional cab ride to town is required for the next 12 hours. Or you can stay little over a halfway there (about 7 hours drive from the airport) in Bomdila, overnight. ​

The best time to visit Tawang is during the shoulder seasons of March to June and September to October for pleasant weather and clear skies. Avoid the monsoon season(July to September) and harsh winter months (December to February) for optimal travel conditions.​​

In town of Bomdila you can visit Bomdila Buddhist Monastery only 10 minutes drive from the hotel. And proceed to Tawang. The Tawang Monastery, is the largest Buddhist monastery in India, is about 8 minutes drive or 40 minutes walk from the hotel. Sangestar Tso Lake is about 18 minutes walk from the hotel. Tawang city, and Giant Buddha Statue & Temple are within 10 minutes drive. Tawang War Memorial within 15 minutes drive.

Chakzam Bridge is within 1 hour drive.​ Jung falls (Nuranang falls) are within 55 minutes drive, Nuranang Valley is about 1 hour 45 minutes drive . Panga Teng Tso lake is about 45 minutes drive from the hotel. Giant statue of Tara Devi or Lumla Dolma Lhakhang  is within 1 hour 30 minutes drive from the hotel.

Guru Padmasambhaba Statue is about 3 hours 15 minutes drive from the hotel, near Lumpo, Zemithang. Gorsam Chorten Buddhist stupa (Oldest and Largest Buddhist Stupa), in Zemithang is about 2 hours 55 minutes drive from the hotel.​  Local travel guide Lungla Tourism offers great directions and general ideas for the outdoor in the area.

This is hotel has one on-site restaurant. Shopping, with many other restaurants, within short walking and driving distance are available. But this is remote, probably one of the most remote places on Earth there left, so you can safely assume there are no websites for the local restaurants. 

I found one and only Dharma Coffee House and Library Resaturant in the entire town of Tawang with online menu.
